WA Volleyball Junior League (WAVJL)

WAVJL is a competitive indoor volleyball season for junior athletes aging from year 7 to year 12 and is played on Friday evenings. Games run for 50 minutes with a 10 minute warmup and are played at a range of venues around Perth from May to August (with game breaks for school holidays). Registrations for Southern Cross teams are conducted during Term 1 each year.  Information regarding how to register is released in January through various media.

More information on WAVJL can be found on the Volleyball WA website here.

AV Academy

AV Academy are partners with Southern Cross in the implementation and delivery of our Kids & Junior volleyball programs across WA.  Artem Ipatyev (Owner) accumulated vast experience during his playing career and is now passionate about passing this knowledge onto developing athletes of all age groups and experience levels.

More information on AVAcademy can be found here.

WA Volleyball League (WAVL)

WAVL is a multi-division competition that provides an avenue for players of all levels to play competitive club volleyball. Unlike Junior League, divisions are arranged by skill level, not age, and are played at multiple venues on Sundays (and some Friday nights), from May to September. Divisions run from State League for WA’s top volleyball players to divisions for beginners and developing players. Southern Cross athletes are placed into teams based on their performance at club grading sessions which occur at the start of the season.

More information on WAVL is available from VWA here.

Alcohol Think Again Beach Tour (ATABT)

Many Southern Cross members play competitive beach volleyball during the indoor off-season by playing in Western Australia’s premier beach volleyball competition – the Alcohol Think Again Beach Tour.  Information regarding this competition can be found through the Volleyball WA website here
A Beach Junior Tour is also available for juniors, starting in January.  Please contact us if you would like more information on junior beach volleyball.

Social volleyball

Our partners at AV Academy run regular social volleyball.  For more information visit there website here

WAVJL/WAVL Fees

SCVC is very careful about our fee structure. To minimize cost to players, we determine the cost of game fees based on the number of players in each team. Game fees are also determined by VWA yearly, and therefore changes to fees are expected year to year. To give you some indication of what fees are associated with playing with SCVC we have listed 2021 fees below. To ensure as many people as possible are able to join and play, we offer payment plans which can be arranged in consultation with our treasurer (treasurer.southerncrossvball@gmail.com).

1. SCVC Club Membership Fee
Adult $225
U 19/Student $200
2. VWA Game Fees (determined by VWA)
