Southern Cross Volleyball 2025 Trials

Below is the Southern Cross Trials information from the last WAVL 2025 season. This information is retained so that you can get an indication on what is involved and the associated costs.

We encourage all old and new players to aim high and register for the division that you wish to play in. 

Womens SL , SL Reserves and D1 Reserves

2 x 3hr trials sessions to be held at Trinity Sports Centre on Sundays:

  • 12th Jan and 19th Jan 2025 (now closed)
  • 10:15am to 1:15pm
  • Cost: $40
  • SQUADS to be finalized and offers sent out to teams by Friday 24th January.
  • Offers to be accepted and first payment (or payment plan) by Friday 31st January.
  • Trainings will commence at Trinity College on Tuesdays and Thursdays the week commencing 4th February

Mens SL Reserves and D1 Reserves

2 x 3hr trials sessions to be held at Trinity Sports Centre on Sundays:

  • 12th Jan and 19th Jan 2025 (now closed)
  • 1:45pm - 4:45pm
  • Cost: $40
  • SQUADS to be finalized and offers sent out to teams by Friday 24th January.
  • Offers to be accepted and first payment (or payment plan) by Friday 31st January.
  • Trainings will commence at Trinity College on Tuesdays and Thursdays the week commencing 4th February

Trials for WAVL Womens Div 2 onwards

3 x 2hr trials sessions to be held at Trinity Sports Centre on Sundays:

  • 9th February, 16th February, 23rd February
  • 10:00am - 12:00pm
  • Cost: $50
  • SQUADS to be finalized and offers sent out to teams by Tuesday 25th February.
  • Offers to be accepted and first payment (or payment plan) by Saturday 1st March.
  • Training will commence the week beginning 3rd March.

Trials for WAVL Mens Div 2 onwards

3 x 2hr trials sessions to be held at Trinity Sports Centre on Sundays:

  • 9th February, 16th February, 23rd February
  • Players will need to fill out a registration form which will help us put them into a specific timeslot for the first 1-2 sessions.  Afterwards, they will be placed into an appropriate timeslot for the following 2 sessions.
  • Session 1: 12:30pm - 2:30pm
  • Session 2: 3:00pm - 5:00pm
  • Cost: $50
  • SQUADS to be finalized and offers sent out to teams by Tuesday 25th February.
  • Offers to be accepted and first payment (or payment plan) by Saturday 1st March.
  • Training will commence the week beginning 3rd March.

Trials for WAVL Masters Womens Div 1 onwards

3 x 1.5hr trials sessions to be held at The RISE, Maylands on Tuesdays:

  • 4th February, 11th February, 18th February
  • 7:00pm to 8:30pm
  • Cost: $40
  • SQUADS to be finalized and offers sent out to teams by Tuesday 25th February.
  • Offers to be accepted and first payment (or payment plan) by Saturday 1st March.
  • Training will commence the week beginning 3rd March.

Trials for WAVL Masters Mens Div 1 onwards

3 x 1.5hr trials to be held for Masters Mens at The RISE, Maylands on Tuesdays:

  • 4th February, 11th February, 18th February
  • 8:30pm to 10:00pm
  • Cost: $40
  • SQUADS to be finalized and offers sent out to teams by Tuesday 25th February.
  • Offers to be accepted and first payment (or payment plan) by Saturday 1st March.
  • Trainings will commence the week beginning 3rd March.

Trials for Junior league (WAVJL) - Week beginning 10th March

Southern Cross VC will be holding trials for all junior league teams starting in the week beginning Mon Mar 17.

  • Boys (up to year 9): Trinity Wednesday 12th and 19th March 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
  • Boys (Year 10 and over): Trinity Wednesday 12th and 19th March 7:30pm - 9:00pm.
  • Boys (All ages): Wesley Monday 17th and 24th March from 7:30pm - 9:00pm.
  • Girls: Wesley Tuesday 18th and 25th March 7:00pm - 8:30pm.

Southern Cross Adult Pre-Season Training

Prepare for the new WAVL season, sharpen up your skill and increase your fitness with our pre-season training program.

The Southern Cross pre-season training program is an opportunity for members to get a head start for the upcoming WAVL season.

The program includes 5 weeks of coached training.

Fees:  $99

Location:  Trinity College Sports Centre

Dates:  TBC

Southern Cross Junior Pre-Season Training

Prepare for the new WAVJL season, sharpen up your skill and increase your fitness with our pre-season training program.

The Southern Cross pre-season training program is an opportunity for junior members to get a head start for the upcoming WAVJL season.

The program includes 8 weeks of coached training.

Fees:  $174 (TBC)

Location:  Trinity College Sports Centre (TBC)

Dates:  January 2026 – February 2026 (TBC)

Girls:  6:00pm – 7:30pm (TBC)

Boys:  7:30pm – 9:00pm (TBC)

Are you looking to make the transition from social volleyball to try joining a team in the WA Volleyball League?

Or are you a junior wanting to prepare for the WA Volleyball Junior League?

We have a summer program running at Trinity College in East Perth in January and February (TBC), coached by National Level 3 accredited coaches with lots of experience introducing technical skills and game strategy.

Southern Cross Volleyball Social League

The Southern Cross Social League will run from October to December 2025.

When: Wednesday October 1st until December 17 
Time: 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Location:Trinity College, 2 Trinity Ave, East Perth WA 6004

Divisions: Ladies, Mens, Mixed (all teams must have a minimum of 2 male and 2 female players on court at all times.)

Register
